Ms. Morgan Wright - Room 13

Background
Welcome to 1st grade in Room 13! This is my first year of teaching and my first year here at SVdP. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education in May of 2024. I student taught in first grade at Gretna Public Schools from January to April and then took a long-term subbing position for the same classroom for the last month of the school year.

Class Info
Reading will be a major focus in 1st grade. Other than growing as readers, my goal for this school year is for my students to feel confident in their abilities and leave the classroom as motivated, lifelong learners! This year in math, students will practice addition and subtraction, learn about time and money, study geometry, and continue developing their number sense. We will also work on building social skills by learning about friendship and becoming more self-sufficient learners. Mrs. Denise Johnston and Ms. Pam Botos are the wonderful part-time teacher associates who will be working with students in Room 13 this year.
