Mrs. Susie Caito - Room 12
Background
Welcome to Room 12! My name is Susie Caito, and I am looking forward to a great year with your children! This is my 27th year at St. Vincent de Paul. It is my 26th year as a teacher and my first year teaching first grade! I received my bachelor's degree from UNO. I encourage students to walk into the classroom with a positive attitude toward learning, and my educational philosohy is that the best classes occur when students know that they are expected to do their best each and every day.
Class Info
First grade is an exciting year! Your child will continue their adventures in reading as they learn about story elements and author's purpose. We will spend time identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives while creating wonderful stories. The basics for math will continue with addition and subtraction facts through 18 and double digit and subtraction along with time, money, and measurement. Mr. Matt Palmer is the teacher associate who will be working with students in Room 12.
